University is all about the experience, and there are not many experiences more engaging than being part of Student Media. You become the eyes, the ears and the mouth of the student body who help to bind the student community together. Solent's Students' Union has four Student Media groups: there's Radio Sonar, Sonar Television, Sonar Magazine, and Sonar Film. If you're interested in joining, or have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us, or the other societies through their websites or social media.

Sonar Film are Solent University's 3D Dolby Atmos Cinema. They have a 96 seated auditorium where they show blockbuster films, run games tournaments, host free film nights and collaborate with charities to provide Solent University students with an affordable getaway. You can also hire them out for private film nights, society socials and premieres. Just contact them through their website.

Sonar Magazine are Southampton Solent University’s very own student run magazine, for the students of the university. They post regular features and articles on news, entertainment, sport, technology, lifestyle and many more subjects.

Check out their Website, Facebook, and Twitter.

Sonar Television are Solent Student Union’s Television Station. They broadcast live sports and university events, along with creating a variety of new programmes including talk and music shows, all to give Solent students the experience they need for working in the industry.
